Christian has been practising since 1978. He is a self-taught man and is rather proud of it! No school, no God, no master, his only desire is to live by his passions: to knead, to pummel, to stretch, to stroke clay, to be surprised by its qualities to eventually tame it.He throws stoneware clay, he uses deformations and also realizes pieces from sheets of clay using a cardboard. The firing of the pieces is usually in two steps. The first step is a firing at 960° C in the gas kiln ( it makes enamelling easier),the second step is a firing in the wood kiln at 1300° C. |
